The Nato Years
This video is deteriorating but still enjoyable. It was put together by Bragg, Ursulak and Morrison (Sorry but don't know the first names of these gentlemen) for the !996 SPAADS reunion in Calgary. They did a super job as well as the many SPAADS who donated their videos or photos. All Squadrons, Rabat, Deci, Prestwick and Hawks are represented. You will recognize the music. Fifty six minutes. The original posting of this video only had 26 minutes but Hugh Bacon questioned where the other half had disappeared to which resulted in this, the finding and posting of the complete video. In addition, other videos on this site may have parts of this video as separate videos. Not sure why. In any case enjoy the flashback.

Those Were the Days - Golden Hawks
This video was produced by a commercial company, Neocortex Solutions Productions with Moshe Video presenting, and was offered for sale on a CD at the 2006 SPAADS reunion in Ottawa. Ed McKeogh is featured as he begins his tour with the Hawks and thanks to Ed for this copy. It is 41 minutes long with the first 29 minutes following the Hawks training and touring. The remaining 12 minutes is linked to the first part of the video but it is a stand alone video which focuses on the history of the Hawks legacy. At approximately the 36 minute point there is an interesting shot of a Hawk signing autographs for a group of kids with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

Fighter Wing - A NFB file
This video was made by the National Film Board in 1955 purportedly to show the folks at home what a squadron on a Wing was there for. Some artistic licence was take with the story line and the dialogue is a bit stilted but check it out yourself. A young Fred Davis is the MC. Thirty minutes

With the RCAF in Europe - A NFB file
This video also is thirty minutes and was made by the National Film Board. It is a basic primer of what to expect in Europe, adds a few tips and warnings about being a "ugly" Canadian. Covers the Air Division sites but very little aircraft coverage.
